FG delivers above the market and keeps its word. Its best pillar is capital allocation (10.0); the main point of concern is transparency (7.5).

Kinea FG/A Gestora de Recursos is an independent asset manager headquartered in Ribeirão Preto (SP), with an office in São Paulo (Itaim Bibi), founded in 2005 as FG/AGRO and repositioned under its current name in 2016. Authorized by CVM since 2011 (CNPJ 11.998.171/0001-78), the firm has over two decades of exclusive operations in Brazilian agribusiness, having structured throughout its history over R$ 21–30 billion in transactions (CRAs, CPRs, CDCAs, and agribusiness M&A). Its only active management vehicle is FGAA11 — the FG/Agro FIAGRO —, with net assets of around R$ 425 million and over 52,000 unitholders, positioning FG/A among specialized niche managers in the corporate credit FIAGRO segment. Management is led by CEO Gustavo Correa (31 years in the market), Juliano Merlotto (VP, since 2001 in agribusiness project finance), and responsible director João Henrique de Lima Rissi, with 17 partners in total.
FG/A's track record is built on corporate advisory to the sugar-energy sector — a niche with significant barriers to entry, given the long sugarcane cycle and the complex tax and regulatory framework of mills. The manager's main value thesis is in-house origination: 83–84% of FGAA11's assets are structured internally, not purchased from third parties, which provides control over pricing, covenants, and monitoring. The portfolio has maintained 100% flow compliance since the IPO (Jan/2022), with no actual default events recorded. The strategy of anticipating rating improvements — buying CRAs with high spreads and benefiting from compression when agencies recognize the improvement — was validated in cases such as Sonora (rating A by S&P) and Uisa (formerly Usinas Itamaraty, rating A- by S&P).
Regarding the governance structure, the administrator is BRL Trust DTVM (Apex group), and the external auditor is BDO RCS Auditores — which issued an accounting qualification in the 2024/25 financial statements regarding 5 Virgo CRAs (≈16% of NAV), questioning the fair value measurement of these assets. The qualification remained unresolved as of the close of March 2026 and is the manager's main governance noise at the moment. The change of responsible director in September 2024 (Marcelo Vieira Francisco, formerly with Kanastra and Santander, took over) brought some renewal to the compliance and risk team.
FG/A operates with a single focus: agribusiness corporate credit, predominantly CDI+ via CRAs and CPRs. FGAA11 closes March 2026 with 16–17 corporate debtors, NAV of ~R$ 425 million, an average duration of ~1.99 years, and an average spread of CDI + 3.8% per year (acquisition rate). The composition is 75–80% CRAs, 16–19% Financial CPRs, and 3–4% CRI. The sugar-energy sector accounts for 55–57% of the portfolio, with sector diversification in transportation (~9%), food (~7%), fertilizers (~7%), and agtechs (~6%). Geographically, SP dominates with 45%, followed by MG (17%) and GO (14%).
A relevant event in 2025 was the announcement of an amortization program of up to 7.4% of NAV (~R$ 32.4 million), paid monthly alongside dividends, as a mechanism to reduce the discount of shares on B3 — signaling that the manager recognizes the discount relative to NAV and is taking active action. Share buybacks (up to 10% in 12 months) are complementary. XP maintained a BUY recommendation in March 2026, and the fund delivered a tax-free DY of ~15.9% p.a. (~130% of gross taxable CDI).
FG/A and FGAA11 are suitable for investors seeking consistent tax-free income above 130% of gross CDI, accepting concentrated exposure to Brazilian agribusiness and comfortable with assets lacking daily secondary market liquidity. The fund is appropriate for moderate to moderate-aggressive profiles as a component of variable income/private credit, not as a portfolio anchor. The critical point of attention — BDO's qualification on Virgo CRAs — must be monitored: a positive resolution (accounting regularization) can be a catalyst for share appreciation; a negative resolution (actual loss) represents a double-digit downside risk to NAV. Existing unitholders should monitor monthly reports and the auditor's opinion at the next assembly; evaluating investors will find P/NAV ~0.93 as a margin of safety, but are pricing in real portfolio quality risk, not unjustified discount.
