Benchmark management — management score 8.0/10
Vectis Capital Solutions delivers above the market and keeps its word. Its best pillar is unitholder wealth (9.4); the main point of concern is management cost (6.0).
1 real estate funds, R$ 465.0 million under management, 9,549 unitholders.
Vectis Capital Solutions is an independent structured credit asset manager founded in 2016 by Alexandre Aoude and Laercio Boaventura, headquartered in São Paulo. The group operates across three verticals — Vectis Capital Solutions, Vectis Gestão, and Vectis Ventures — but in the universe of listed Fiagros, the agribusiness credit front is managed by Capital Solutions, which is responsible for VCRA11. Assets under management (AUM) in VCRA11 stand at around R$ 469 million (July/2026), with approximately 9,900 unitholders and over 72 credit assets in the portfolio.
Vectis CS is authorized by CVM for the management of securities portfolios and adheres to ANBIMA's self-regulation codes. VCRA11's structure relies on Intrag DTVM (Itaú group) as administrator and Itaú Unibanco as custodian — robust names that reinforce the segregation of duties. The fund's auditor follows the standards required by CVM.
The asset manager's main competitive advantage is its partnership with Datagro, Brazil's largest independent agricultural consultancy — with a 40+ year history, over 200 employees, and 1,000 clients across 50 countries. Datagro provides Vectis with crop intelligence, commodity prices, supply/demand balances, and sectoral due diligence that few managers can replicate internally. Over 4 years of VCRA11's operation, the fund has maintained uninterrupted monthly distributions, delivering 140% of net CDI in March/2026 — a performance that places the fund among the most profitable in its category.
However, the 2024-2026 period brought the first real credit stress cycle in the agribusiness sector. Vectis has accumulated four significant simultaneous defaults: BB Fuels (~11.5% of NAV), North Agro, Grupo APR, and Serpasa — together totaling around 26% of nominal equity. Judicial reorganization proceedings are underway; some recent decisions have improved the outlook, but the final outcome remains uncertain. The manager has transparently communicated these events in its monthly letters and continues to update the market on ongoing negotiations.
VCRA11 is Vectis CS's only listed Fiagro. The thesis is straightforward: pulverized credit in CRAs issued by Brazilian agribusiness companies (agricultural production, biofuels, food, inputs, and technology) with a target return of CDI + 3% to 4% p.a. and protection via real guarantees (rural real estate, fiduciary alienation, corporate guarantees). The portfolio is predominantly indexed to CDI, which performs well in a high Selic rate cycle but creates a dependency on the interest rate environment. With a P/BV around 0.60-0.61, the market has already priced in the embedded default risk, and the annualized DY of 17-20% reflects both the credit premium and the pressure of discounted unit prices. The contingency reserve of R$ 0.71/unit acts as a buffer to maintain distributions while judicial reorganizations advance.
VCRA11 — and by extension Vectis CS — makes sense for the bold investor who understands the risks of high-yield agribusiness credit and seeks income above 15% p.a. in net DY. The 38-40% discount vs BV could represent an asymmetry opportunity if judicial reorganizations materialize; however, it requires patience (unpredictable judicial timelines) and tolerance for unit price volatility. It is not suitable for conservative investors or those who require liquidity — daily volumes of R$ 600 thousand are low for larger positions. For those already holding a position: quarterly monitoring of recovery actions (BB Fuels and Grupo APR are the most relevant due to their size), the evolution of the contingency reserve, and any new credit events in the portfolio is advised.
